This cabin was buildt in 1910, and has been in my family for the
last 34 years. It's placed almost in the middle of southern Norway.
Not far from Rjukan where the allies blew up the heavy water plant in
WW2. ( Movie: Heros of Telemark).
My hunting area starts just 200 meters from my cabin door. Here we hunt
roe deer and "Tiur" a bird as big as a turkey. Theres also a huge
mountain platau called Hardangervidda within a 30 min. drive. Up there
we have big heards of caribou. The fishing in the area is good to,
mostly common and rainbow trout. Just 30 min. away we have
"Gaustablikk", a mountain hotel and skiresort. There are 3 lifts and 8
downhills in the slalom area. The crosscountry skiing is also
very good there. Everything from flat to very hilly and steep. From the
top of the slalom lift you have a wonderful view of Gaustatoppen which reaches 1883 meters .
You also see a lot of the southern part of Hardangervidda.
