Tyres:
The Dymag wheels made tyre choice a breeze, most high tech tyres can now be used on the old VFR. I've got Pirelli Dragons fitted at the moment, they feel very good in turns and straight line, time will show how they stand up to wear.
I got a very good deal on the new Bridgestone
Battleaxe BT57's. After riding on these tires for about 5000km, I'm not
that satisfied anymore. They have started cupping and the wear is not uniform.
A huge part of the senter is flat and theres quite an edge to roll over
when leaning into turns.
While in Scotland I ran into a bloke that had a new GSXR, he told me he
dumped the BT57's because they gave him a "chillin'" feeling
when leaning over. After replacing it with a Pirelli Dragon, the problem
was solved.
