The 17" front wheel forced me into lowering the front
25mm on the forks. Haven't had any
problems with that so far! (Might say something
about my riding though!)
In order to fit the rear wheel I had to move the support
for the rear break caliper to the outer side.
I had a spacer made to fill the space between the
support and the mount. The chain guard also had to be trimmed to accept
the wider rear tire.
The front wheel needed a smaller spacer and I fitted
a speedo unit from the 88 model to get the right speed readings.
The rear lamp/breaklamp was cracked so a new one was
installed. The glass around the clocks was cracked so it had to go too.
I also bought the 88 model turnsignals in front. The logos are from the
'96 model, they fit the color better that the old ones.
